  • Built a Mohs Surgery practice, Renovated Mohs Surgery lab, trained lab technician, and facilitated purchase of new and update equipment including a medical laser, leading to increased patient population and company revenue.

Performed skin surgery to improve appearance, make early diagnoses, or control diseases including skin cancer. Routinely used neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Provided therapies such as chemical peels to treat age spots, sun damage, and rough, discolored, or oily skin. Used Ulthera (ultrasound) and Radiofrequency for skin tightening. Counseled patients on topics including need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection, skin cancer awareness, and skin and lymph node self-examinations. Implemented the use of web/cloud based ZocDoc for scheduling and SolutionReach for text-based appointment reminders and patient satisfaction 

  • Implemented web marketing and social medial campaigns, leading to increased web traffic, number of active patients, and practice revenue.

  • Developed integral relationship within the community, offering skin care trainings and seminars to promote health and wellbeing of residents.

Physician/Partner, Dermatology Associates of Kentucky

August 1988-January 2009

Established largest freestanding Dermatology center in US, offering Medical Dermatology, Dermatopathology, Pediatric Dermatology, Mohs Surgery, reconstructive surgery and cosmetic procedures. Recruited physicians, negotiated contracts, and hired staff to begin practice from the ground up. Consulted patients in clinic to determine treatment plan, offered in-office procedures, and performed surgical procedures to correct skin conditions such as cancer. Used Mohs Micrographic technique to remove cancerous lesions and performed reconstruction with local skin grafts and rotational flaps. Routinely used neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Provided financial oversight of practice.

  • Completed over 15K Mohs Micrographic surgeries and reconstructions, and 25K skin additional skin surgery procedures, one of the most successful practices in the Lexington area.

  • Built Medicare certified and AAAHC accredited ambulatory surgical center, providing additional, high quality resources to the community.

  • Presented LEAN process for establishing business at national architectural/engineering conference as keynote invited speaker.
